The monthly Junior Novice Tournament series has been a growing success all summer. Players compete in age groups to collect points that build up month to month throughout the season. July's event hosted 17 players at the Marriott Beach Resort on Hutchinson Island. If you haven't played it yet - it's not too late to jump in the fun! Look for the August announcement in the TCTF Calendar.

After holding the USTA No. 1 Singles ranking in Florida in the 10, 12 and 14-year-old girls divisions, Martinez now competes in the 16-under division.

She’s already ranked fifth in the state and 113th nationally — and those rankings could increase quickly. Martinez plans to enter three ITF tournaments this spring, including Delray Beach April 27-May 4.

“She has the potential of becoming top 100 (in the pro rankings),” Rincon, tennis director at Magnolia Lakes Tennis Club in Port St. Lucie, said of her future.

Special thanks to Fabio and to our local Rotarians, for making a positive impact on the community through tennis!

Jensen Beach's doubles team of Ellie Schoppe and Madison Dennett proved they were the best in the state and did so in dominant fashion.
Schoppe and Dennett won the Class 3A state championship on Friday at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, beating Gulf Coast's Emma Heiderscheit and Zoe Rosu 6-2, 6-2 in the final.
"It was well deserved," Jensen Beach coach Lisa Thiesen said. "They both are hard workers, they both love it and it was nice to see them rewarded with that state championship."

TCTF presented The Boys and Girls Club of St Lucie County with seed funding to support creation of a tennis program within their mission. Our cash gift was enriched by new balls, baskets and racquets provided by Wilson Sports and gently used racquets donated by the community.
Meanwhile, a similar gift was made to the Boys and Girls Club of Martin County in support of The Frank family which developed and has maintained a robust tennis program for young people in that community.
